The 2023 PCI (Payment Card Industry) Merchant training is now available. All Extension Eventbrite users are required to complete this annual training. This is true even if you only intend to use Eventbrite for free events.

If you are currently PCI certified, you should have received a notification about the 2023 PCI Merchant Security Training from reporter_registration@ncsu.edu.

This year, EIT has a new integration with Reporter that will automatically update your most recent PCI Training date in the Extension Employee Database (XEMP) so will no longer need to upload your most recent training certificate.

The deadline for previously certified employees is January 31, 2023. If you miss the deadline, your Extension’s Eventbrite account will be removed.

New Extension employees and others who need to complete their PCI Training may submit a request for access to the PCI Merchant training module. You’ll receive a notification when the training module has been added to your account at reporter.ncsu.edu. This may take several weeks after you request it.

PCI (Payment Card Industry) training is an important part of maintaining the security and integrity of payment card information. It is designed to help individuals and organizations understand and implement the security standards set by the PCI Security Standards Council. These standards are designed to ensure the secure handling of payment card information and protect against credit card fraud.
