March Learning Opportunities

Is your Marching coming in like a lion? Not to worry, we have several learning opportunities that will help ease your month into going out like a lamb.

ActiveCampaign


ActiveCampaign Support Group: March 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Please watch your email for information on how to join us!

Our monthly online ActiveCampaign sessions are offered on March 12th and March 14th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. To learn more about how to manage your contacts, join our Managing Contacts session on March 12th. To learn more about creating and sending campaigns, join our Creating Email Campaigns session on March 14th.

We are offering a session called Using ActiveCampaign to Follow Up on Eventbrite Events, on Tuesday, March 19th from 2-3 p.m. When attendees are checked in for an Eventbrite event, their contact information is then automatically imported into ActiveCampaign. These contacts receive tags identifying Eventbrite events they have participated in. You can use those tags to follow up with past participants as well as a way to advertise upcoming programs. Join us to learn how to use those Eventbrite tags to your advantage!

AI Jam Session

We are excited to host our second Advancing Extension with AI (Artificial Intelligence) Jam Session this month. It will be held on Friday, March 8th from 12-1 p.m. Drop in with your lunch for a short Jam Session on using AI in your county center. We'll start off with EIT staff presenting example prompts and covering some foundational aspects of ChatGPT, paving the way for a session filled with audience questions and participation. Dive into the basics, explore the potential of AI, and join the conversation in this interactive exploration.

Eventbrite

Our monthly online Eventbrite session is offered on March 5th from 9-10:30 a.m. This session will cover Extension Eventbrite requests through event publication, including budget forms, adding details to the event, online event, modifying ticket information, adding custom questions to the order form, and making your event live for registration, and managing attendees once your event is published.

Express Sessions

Our first EIT Express training for March, Seek & You Shall Find: Additional Search Operators in Google, is being offered on Wednesday, March 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Clean up your Google Drive and Gmail efficiently by utilizing advanced search operators. This training will empower you to identify and manage files effectively, boosting your Google Workspace skills and organizational efficiency.Our second EIT Express training, Accessibility All-Stars, is being offered on Wednesday, March 27th, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. One of our primary functions in Extension is sharing information, and these days much of that knowledge is communicated online. Join us for some quick tips to ensure your web content is user-friendly for everyone and reaches the widest audience possible.  We'll go over some basic guidelines for inclusive design and some tricks and tools to make it easy!

Video Training

Ben Farmer is offering a few in-person video training opportunities, Video Education 101. This one-day training session is perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their basic video production skills. This will be both a learning session and a hands-on experience.There are a few dates to choose from:
  • March 4th (Guilford County Extension Office)
  • March 14th (Beaufort County Extension Office)
If you are ready to participate and are nearby, sign up today! If you have your own computer, you are welcome to bring it and any other materials, but please make sure Adobe Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush are downloaded to your device. We will not have time to fix this during the session.
