While phishing scams do increase at certain times of the year, we seem to be at a place where this is a constant threat. One week, you'll get an email from your 'boss' asking you to purchase gift cards for the office. The next week, you might be asked to UPDATE your computer by following a link. These examples might be easy to detect but the senders of these scams are getting more sophisticated in their approach.
