After a lot of testing and careful research, EIT has selected DaVinci Resolve as our number one pick in the 2026 Video Editing Application Draft.
All jokes aside, DaVinci Resolve moving forward will be the platform that we are moving to replace Adobe Rush once Adobe drops support for it in September of 2026. I will be rolling out some video content and virtual trainings to get everyone introduced to DaVinci Resolve soon, for now, let me tell you why we picked this over all the other editing software available.
An Update on Adobe Rush
Our Selection
Why DaVinci Resolve?
Adobe has replaced Rush with Adobe Premiere: Video Editor which works a lot like Adobe Rush did, however, when it comes to editing on the desktop application as some of you know, Premiere Pro is complicated to learn. We needed a solution that would be more consistent and be similar to Adobe Rush without getting as complicated as the desktop version of Premiere Pro can be.
The thing I love most about DaVinci Resolve is that it is a free program to use for anyone of any skill level, you can go as deep as the rabbit hole goes, or you can stay at the surface level and still produce great quality videos. Resolve is not intimidating and it's much more customizable to fit your needs and it works on both desktop and iPad, that way if you are editing on the go, just like with Rush, you can have all your files and edit on the iPad and then take the same files and project and finish it up on your desktop if you want.
What's Next?
You can expect to see another article posted in the coming weeks announcing some virtual trainings that I'm going to offer to introduce DaVinci Resolve as well as another article detailing a full start to finish walkthrough of how to use Resolve and what the similarities and differences are from Adobe Rush.
I know a brand new program might be intimidating at first, but I encourage each of you to please attend the trainings and reach out to me to schedule an in depth training day for your counties if you'd prefer me to come to you.
