Collapse ▲Project ID’s (formerly known as SpeedChart, Speed Type and FAS Account) are used to accumulate expenditures to the proper allocated funds. In most cases, the agents use one of two standard Project ID’s which are sometimes referred to as the 20 & 50 accounts since they end with the last two digits of 20 or 50. In some unique cases, specific agents may be given documentation asking them to use a specific Project ID representing a grant or special program. In all cases, agents should enter the correct Project ID associated with each particular trip. A brief description of some Project IDs is shown below.
Fund 20 is being used at the present time for travel.
The first 4 digits of the Project ID are unique to each county center. The final two digits are used to distinguish which source funds should be used for the travel. In addition, a 5 digit Phase (formerly project code) is also used. Primary Funding will consist of the counties six digit Project ID with the last two digits representing state or federal funding. For example:
In Wake County, agents would normally use:
493520-10618 or what we call Fund 20 - Federal Funding 493550-10618 or what we call Fund 50 - State Funding
In Alamance County, agents would normally use:
488120-10617 or what we call Fund 20 - Federal Funding 488150-10617 or what we call Fund 50 - State Funding
In Alexander County, agents would normally use:
490120-10616 or what we call Fund 20 - Federal Funding 490150-10616 or what we call Fund 50 - State Funding
Most Phases are the same for each county in a District and can be found in the chart below:
West = 10615 Southwest = 10616 Northwest = 10617 North Central = 10618 South Central = 10619 Northeast = 10620 Southeast = 10621
In additional all Poultry Area Agents should use 10738 and Neuse River Agents have unique Phases. The following individuals would use unique Project ID’s
EFNEP Program Assistants would use Project IDs which consist of counties’ six digit Project ID with the last two digits representing the fund which is (48) and must also include the Phase number which for EFNEP begin 8300x.
Example: 493548-83001
EFNEP-Phase #’s
Adult-Professional- 83001 Adult-Paraprofessional -83002 Youth-Professional-83003 Youth-Paraprofessional-83004
Rural/Urban- 4-H Program Assistants would use Project ID’s which consist of counties’ six digit Project ID and Phase with the last two digits representing the fund number (22 or 23) and phase.
Example: 493522-10618
Program Assistants based in rural centers would use the 23 fund number. Program Assistants based in urban centers would use the 22 fund number.
Grants and/other source of funding also requires the use of unique Project ID and Phase. When traveling on a grant, agents must enter Project ID and Phase associated with that grant. Agents are given documentation explaining what source of funding to use whenever this situation occurs.
