Please Make Sure Your Google Chrome Browser Is Updated

— Written By

Due to a new zero-day vulnerability patch just released by Google, we need everyone to make sure that their Google Chrome browser is updated to the latest version of the software.

If you’re in a County Cooperative Extension Center and  on a Mac, here’s how to make sure you are up-to-date:

  1. Access Self Service by navigating to Finder > Applications > Self Service
How to find self service image
  2. Once launched, look under the Activity tab at the top of the pageBrowser update screen shot
  3. Click UpdateBrowser update notification screen shot

NOTE: If you DO NOT see the Google Chrome update listed in Self Service, you should have the most up-to-date version. You can check this by navigating to Chrome > About Google Chrome, and looking at the Version.

About Google. Chrome screen shot

If you’re not in a County Cooperative Extension Center or you have a PC, you can perform this update by using the above method of navigating to Chrome > About Google Chrome, and clicking the update if you are not on the most up-to-date version.

If you have any questions about this update or require assistance, please contact us by calling 919-513-7000 or emailing ces_help@ncsu.edu.
