As the new year begins, it’s always a good reminder to make sure your passwords and work-related information are kept as secure as possible.

Here are some simple tips for keeping your email account and computer protected:

  • Don’t keep your username and password stuck (or taped) to your computer. If you must keep them written down, please make sure you keep them in a secure place.
  • Never share your password. If someone you don’t know (or did not initiate) is requesting your password, chances are it’s a phishing scam.
  • Use your Screen Lock when you are away from your computer (on a Mac, hit Command + Control + Q to activate the Lock Screen feature).
  • Don’t use your Unity password for other site logins/registrations.
