Emergency Message Feature Added
We’ve added an emergency message feature to your Site Settings menu. You can use this new feature to add temporary phone numbers or relocation information to your websites.
Extension Administration recommends you add an alternative phone number, such as your district office number, if your office is closed and you can’t forward your phones. This way we may be able to connect callers to another county office, an area agent or specialized agent, or a specialist on campus.
Here’s how the emergency message feature works:
- Login to your county website Dashboard
- Select Site Settings
- Select Emergency Message
- This page has options to enter your normal hours, holiday/weather closings, and the emergency alert message.
- 140 character limit
- You can add a message and a closure, or either one without the other.
- No HTML is allowed
- Some examples are provided in the Dashboard
