Announcing… Zoom Video Conferencing Service for NCCE!

Zoom is a popular video and web conferencing service that can be used to host small and large meetings and webinars. It works with Macs, Windows and mobile devices. Anyone can join a Zoom meeting, but hosting a meeting requires a Zoom account.

Extension Administration recently purchased a limited number of Zoom Pro accounts for “check-out” use by N.C. Cooperative Extension employees. Pro accounts offer the ability to schedule meetings of unlimited duration, record your sessions on your local devices, and participate in sessions by phone or web.

Zoom is similar to DELTA’s Blackboard Collaborate, but some people find it easier to use for hosting meetings with a face to face feel, and less of a challenge for attendees who aren’t as comfortable with video and web conferencing meetings. Zoom is not intended to replace Blackboard Collaborate, but it is an additional video conferencing option that might make meeting virtually easier for you.
