At the bottom of every page and post on our site, we ask one simple question “Was the information on this page helpful?” We diligently record every single response we receive, even going so far as to gather explanations from users when they respond “No”. Not everyone will tell us exactly why they said ‘No’, but many of them do. This simple, yet powerful question can deliver some extremely insightful observations. By default we push all of the explanations we receive into a central queue which our IT team periodically reviews. If we find that a piece of feedback contains a valuable suggestion or constructive criticism that could benefit our author, or other users, we pass it directly along to the author of the post.

Because we don’t want our authors fretting too much over just how many Yes & No votes each of their posts receive, we don’t readily publish the totals anywhere. However, today, we thought it might be of some benefit to share the 15 posts in our system which receive the most ‘Yes’ votes. Can you spot any trends?
